About the Role Reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration and operating within a driven and dynamic team, the Assistant Accountant is responsible for performing day to day financial and management accounting functions across the 3 companies. The Ideal candidate would have strong business acumen and analytical skills to be the champion of financial software systems used across the business. Key Responsibilities: Assist in all aspects of company financial functions Provide financial reporting to support the monthly business review process Facilitate and complete month-end procedures for multiple entities Assist in the development of the annual budget Assist in delivery to regulatory bodies including ATO, SRO, and other entities as required Undertake data analysis and integration for business units to drive better financial performance Skills, Experience & Qualifications Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 2 years experience in accounting CA or CPA - desirable Systems knowledge and experience – Microsoft BC preferred Good Microsoft Office skills Advanced MS Excel skills Experience working in consulting, engineering or construction industry – rail preferred Excellent Communications skills, verbal and written Exceptional time management, organisational and problem solving skills Attention to detail and accuracy Good with numbers Ability to multi-task Strong Interpersonal skills
