YOUR ROLE
Do you have the attention to detail of a mathematician, the concentration of a hunting lioness, the social skills to work and communicate with a large Global business? You may be the Assistant Financial Accountant we are looking for. Your task will be to support and assist the Australia – New Zealand Finance team in completing all key performance indicators, focusing on balance sheet reconciliations, direct and indirect tax compliance, financial period close, cash flow forecasting, reporting and credit card administration plus other tasks as needed by the team.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
You will coordinate and reconcile all balance sheets approvals and raise any identified issues with the relevant stakeholder group
Be familiar with preparing company income tax returns and documentation to submit through the appropriate processes
Support the finance team with month end requirements through journal preparation, trial balance review and resolution of queries from the wider business
Be familiar and confident to support with internal and external audit requirements and be familiar with compliance requirements
Complete, support and coordinate the BAS lodgments for the business
Work closely with the local and offshore team to prepare fixed asset capitalization, Capex reporting and relevant stock takes
Assist CEVA and subsidiary companies with P&L reporting as needed
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Degree qualified in Accounting or Commerce, with interest toward completing a CPA / CA qualification
Related experience in a corporate Finance function, ideally in a multinational or Global organisation
Systems experience with JD Edwards or similar
Strong in verbal and written communication and managing stakeholder management skills
