Description Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the primary purpose of the role is to design and engineer new and existing materials handling equipment in line with regulatory & customer requirements. The primary responsibilities are, but not limited to; Design & engineer new projects according to customer specifications Responsible for preparing engineering drawings – 3D & 2D CAD modelling (Solidworks) in relation to new projects Including Bill of Materials creation Liaise with external parties, OEM suppliers, design companies and component suppliers Work with the sales department on designs for quoting. Liaise with clients on projects. Aid the Engineering and Sales Manager on project managing projects. Aid workshop staff on drawings and designs. Ensure documentation review and sign off is completed. Provide technical support both internally and externally. Learn and understand Australian & international compliance (if required) Quality assurance Profile To be considered for this role you must satisfy the following; Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering. 3 years minimum experience Materials handling would be favourable Highly experienced in Solidworks. Background in manufacturing, design for manufacture.
