Due to ongoing and future contracts, we are currently recruiting a Civil Engineer for a Full Time role within our business.
Tasks & responsibilities
Assist in establishing detailed programmes for the planning of the design and construction processes
Review project and contractual documentation on successful tenders
Analyse and record reports on loading, labour, productivity, quality, materials and performance
Price variations in a timely and accurate fashion
Oversee site construction work and labour needs, including materials and equipment required
Maintain control and distribution of all drawings and documents in line with the requirements of the QA System
Measure and test materials, processes or systems related to civil engineering works
Check to ensure that finished works are within specifications, contract terms and regulations
Identify potential cost savings and efficiency gains and recommend solutions
Assist in project risk assessment to identify any constructibility issues
Assist in the preparation and execution of all delegated project activities
Leading projects including technical delivery, as well as ensuring financial and quality standards
Liaising with various stakeholders to identify and rectify any project concerns
Create work-packs for site execution teams
Working with Professional Engineers, Site Engineers and construction workers
Building and maintaining relationships with clients to generate future opportunities
Qualifications & experience
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
At least 2 years industry experience
A clear understanding of OH&S obligations within the construction industry
Strong communication skills
A keen eye for detail and a can do attitude
Ability to work both autonomously and as a team member
Strong written and oral communication skills
A good level of computer literacy including MS Word, Excel, CAD and Project
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of project methodologies
