Purpose Of Role:
The IT Systems Administrator will be primarily responsible for maintaining the operational effectiveness of the IT infrastructure, systems and services. This ranges across the whole of infrastructure including physical and virtual servers, desktop environments, networks, firewalls and peripheral devices. The IT Systems Administrator will also help drive various modern cloud technologies to improve business efficiency and security, playing a key role in the ongoing Cloud Migration projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY :
Identify opportunities and projects for improvement
Help design and implement the MS Modern Workplace to support the journey to the Cloud.
Support the design and building of O365 solutions covering Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Teams
Projects delivered on time and in budget
Perform daily system and network monitoring, verifying the availability and reliable operation of network, servers (physical and virtual), systems, services, applications, data protection and key processes across the on-premises and cloud IT environment
Install, maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot hardware and software across the IT infrastructure inclusive of desktop, server, storage, network, application, audio-visual, cloud and computer based laboratory systems
Administration and monitoring of Exchange, Active Directory
Skills we are looking for:
Minimum of 3 years experience in a systems administration or related capacity
Strong knowledge of implementing, operating and developing IT operations best practices, including security, storage, data protection and disaster recovery
Experience in the administration of Microsoft Active Directory, servers, storage (SAN, DAS), networks, patch deployment and backup/archive/recovery
Experience with the Hyper V Microsoft virtualisation platform
Experience in the administration of a Microsoft 365 environment
Experience with Firewall, VPN and network administration
Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting PC and Apple Mac based hardware and operating systems
A demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of end users with various levels of computer competency
