Key responsibilities are:
• Providing users with support in their use of software products that relate to their business function(s) to ensure maximum efficiency, with an emphasis on;
o Network-based software including Microsoft products
o Microsoft Office
o Internally developed systems
• Liaison with business units for testing of corporate applications;
• Creating and/or maintaining effective user documentation relating to the operational procedures of the position;
• Liaison with external software providers and participation in corporate committees and user groups;
• Client support and Helpdesk management;
• ICT Asset inventory administration and management;
• Maintenance and management of Backup Operations of the organisation;
• Responsible on providing infrastructure and application support and maintenance for users;
• Working together with management in analysing operational procedures by recommending, specifying and implementing changes to maintain and improve efficiency in line with the stated goals of the organisation;
• Develop reports as required by business units for the analysis of information from corporate applications;
• Administer the company web site and related cloud services;
• Documentation of procedures, processes, helpdesk, testing and system configurations;
• Perform other ICT roles or work as requested by the Director
• Providing app users with product support in terms of our cloud-based servers
Essential requirement:
• Demonstrated at least Three years working experience in the similar role, including wide or local area network administration, desktop hardware or software support, ICT operations support, security support and database administration in a service delivery environment;
• Demonstrated ability to use ad hoc report writing facilities within commercial software
• Demonstrated active listening skills in understanding client and other staff requirements;
• Demonstrated ability to develop and document ICT processes or user support outcomes;
• Ability to prioritise and complete work independently and as a team member;
• Ability to manage change and disruptions in workflow or processes;
• Good working knowledge of hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting;
• General working knowledge of Microsoft family of integrated PC based applications, including MS Office, SharePoint etc.
• Sound working knowledge of Active Directory and Domain Networks;
• Able to identify network issues and pinpoint area of issue especially in regards to user operations;
• Sound working knowledge of DHCP, DNS and Microsoft networking environment;
• Understanding of tiered security approach and firewalling rules (Access lists);
• Ability to liaise at all levels within the organization
