Due to a number of recently awarded projects, a position now exists for an experienced Graduate of Architecture who will join their internal Architecture and Design team to help bring forward their excellence and innovation of Design to further the company in crafting the best possible buildings in the field of Architecture and Construction.
Your new role
The graduate architect will be responsible for assisting the in all matters requested from the design team internally, with their focus to be but not limited to, producing design concepts in partnership with the Architecture team, assist in developing town planning and construction documentation, and exploring and implementing finishes preparations and interior fit outs.
Working alongside the Design Lead, the focus will be for the graduate to assist in communicating their architectural requirements which are requested of the design team to ensure finishing, detailing and proposals are meeting our client's brief while enhancing the brand.
A key part of this role will involve aspects such as liaising with peers and relevant groups on projects, developing relationship with internal and external parties, and maintaining high quality standards with any designs they produce.
What you'll need to succeed
Technical qualifications from an approved education institution (can be currently undertaking);
3 - 5 years' relevant work experience within the industrial/commercial industry, preferably through an Architectural firm;
Skilled in using REVIT and AutoCAD to produce detailed construction, planning and sketch documentation (essential);
An understanding of Australian construction processes, systems and facility detailing and a strong understanding of the BCA, National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards;
Strong at analysing and problem-solving capabilities;
A self-motivated team player with a positive can-do attitude and passion for what you do;
Great work ethic and strong communication skills to effectively engage and communicate with clients, sub-contractors, consultants, authorities, and building contractors; and
Highly organised with the ability to work on various projects at different stages to meet project commitments on-time and on-budget.
